1. Who we are

This site is operated by Omega Berry (trading as “Makeece”) (“we”, “us”, “our”). For the personal data we collect about you through this site, Omega Berry is the data controller.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication credentials when you sign up.
  • Purchase data: records of which ebook you have access to and your order history.
  • Support messages: any messages you send us.
  • Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser type, and basic analytics about how the site is used.

Payment card details are collected directly by Paddle and are not stored on our servers.

3. Why we use your data

  • To create and secure your account (legal basis: contract).
  • To deliver access to the ebook you purchased (contract).
  • To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the site secure (legitimate interests).
  • To respond to your support requests (legitimate interests / contract).
  • To improve the site and the ebook reading experience (legitimate interests).
  • To comply with our legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).

4. Who we share data with

  • Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payments, billing, tax compliance, invoicing, subscription management, and refunds for our orders.
  • Service providers / subprocessors — hosting, database, email, and analytics providers that help us run the site, under appropriate data protection terms.
  • Professional advisers — legal, accounting, or tax advisers, where needed.
  • Authorities — when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your account and purchase records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. After that, your personal data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on this site and we will respond within the timeframe required by law (and within one month where GDPR applies).

7. International transfers

Our service providers (including Paddle and our hosting provider) may process your data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and managed authentication — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

9. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We may also use basic analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

We may update this notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version. See also our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.
